Adam's Love presented at "Technical Consultation on Innovative Uses of Communication Technology for HIV Programming for MSM" in Washington D.C.Adam's Love was presented by Mr. Tarandeep Anand at "Technical Consultation on Innovative Uses of Communication Technology for HIV Programming for Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM) and Transgender (TG) Populations” in Washington, D.C. from May 2-3, 2013. Adam's Love was selected as a Programmatic Example of using Communication Technology to reduce the spread and impact of HIV among GMT individuals. The event was coordinated by AIDSTAR-One, which is led by John Snow, Inc. and funded by USAID through the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), and co-sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health, and the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR). The goal of this two-day technical consultation was to provide a forum for key stakeholders in HIV research, programming, implementation, and evaluation to take stock of important developments in the field and develop strategies to improve communication technology for enhanced HIV services. During the meeting, which was co-sponsored by the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the American Foundation for AIDS Research, participants shared perspectives, programs, and research from the public and private sectors and learned about programmatic examples from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe.
